Editorial Policy

These are the rules we hold ourselves to. They exist so you can check our work, and so we stay honest even when honesty is inconvenient for our commission.

Sourcing

Every factual claim about the game — rules, court dimensions, net height — is sourced from the official USA Pickleball rulebook, and cited on the page. Every product specification comes from the manufacturer's published listing or spec sheet. We do not repeat a number we cannot trace to a source, and we do not launder another site's authority with a vague “tests show.”

No fabrication — ever

We never invent prices, ratings, review counts, specs, testing, or credentials. We do not publish testimonials (we have no customers to quote, and inventing one would be a firing offense). Prices render only from the live data layer; when we have no verified live price, we say so rather than guess. Our methodology explains exactly what our scores are — and are not — made of.

Independence

No brand pays us for placement or ranking, and no manufacturer sends us free gear. We are funded solely by Amazon affiliate commissions (see our disclosure), and commission rates never influence a ranking. When a $33 paddle beats an $80 one on the merits, the $33 paddle wins the spot.

Update cadence

Prices refresh automatically and are stamped with the date checked; anything older than 48 hours is hidden rather than shown stale. Roundups are reviewed on a quarterly basis for picks and availability, with a visible “Last updated” date on every page. Cornerstone guides are revised when the rules or the season change. A discontinued pick or a rotted price is a trust failure, so re-verification is scheduled, not reactive.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and update the page's modified date. If a correction is material — a wrong spec that changed a ranking, say — we note what changed. Spotted an error? Tell us on the contact page; we read every message and we would rather be corrected than wrong.
